Details: Funded by subscription, though the bulk of this was provided by the Hargreaves Family, thedesign being based on a primitive design by Alice Hargreaves formerly named Alice Liddell, who was famous as the inspiration for Alice in Wonderland), and who lost two sons in the Great War (both of whom are listed on the memorial).
