- BASE SURMOUNTED BY SQUARE PLINTH, TAPERING SHAFT AND WHEEL CROSS. INSCRIPTION IN BLACK LETTERING ON THE SIDES OF THE PLINTH. WHOLE IS SET ON PAVED AREA AND ENCLOSED WITH A LOW POST AND CHAIN LINK FENCE.

- AFTER THE ORIGINAL MEMORIAL WAS DAMAGED BY A TRAFFIC ACCIDENT THE PLINTH WITH INSCRIPTION WAS MOVED TO ST MARGARETS CHURCH AND A PLAQUE ADDED TO EXPLAIN ITS HISTORY. BY 1990 THE PLINTH HAD BEEN REINSTATED AT A ROADSIDE LOCATION (NOT KNOWN IF THIS WAS ALSO THE ORIGINAL LOCATION) WITH A NEW STONE CROSS. FORM OF THE ORIGINAL MEMORIAL (SIMILAR CROSS TO THE NEW ONE?) AND FATE OF THE INTERIM PLAQUE IS NOT KNOWN.
