In south west corner of churchyard. From c Aug. 1939 it was placed to the west of the porch
but later taken inside the church to protect it during air raids and erected on north wall of the church. It was placed in its present position c Nov. 1962

Description
MEMORIAL CONSTRUCTED IN VARNISHED OAK WITH CEDAR SHINGLE ROOF AND STAINED SOFTWOOD HORIZONTAL LAPPED BOARDING TO BACK. STRUCTURE SUPPORTED ON EIGHT OAK POSTS SET IN CONCRETE. GOLD PAINTED LETTERS TO INSCRIPTION AND NAMES (LATTER IN FIVE COLUMNS). METAL CROSS FIXED IN CENTRE PANEL WITH MAIN INSCRIPTION AND NAMES AROUND IT.

WW2 names added at unknown date. C2000-02: further renovation, including the addition of three names March 2000: varnish and lettering reported to be in a poor state, with a danger of the names being lost. March 1994: survey reported that the old varnish was in very poor condition, that the gold painted lettering was tarnished in areas, a small number of cedar shingles were missing on the front hips and that a 'nail was missing from the foot of the sculptured crucifix. Refurbished that year. Nov. 1989: crucifix was torn down by vandals: it has been moved to the inner vestry for safe keeping. 1962: refurbished
