- Description
- Concrete foundation surmounted by granite base and Darley Dale stone plinth. Relief design panels on the front and rear of the plinth. Main shaft of the memorial has bronze plaques on the sides with the inscriptions. Surmounting the whole on the moulded cap is a bronze figure of peace holding out wreath in one hand and with a flag in the other Either side of the top of the shaft are two bronze laurel wreaths surrounding crests of the Royal Warwickshire Regiment and two bronze lion's heads. One relief shows sailors manning a heavy gun on board a warship and the other shows infantry, a tank and a dispatch rider. Trophies depicted above the reliefs.
