Description
Triangular-roofed triptych with double hinged doors - which are now kept open to allow for the additional panel bearing the WW2 names which has been placed below the central panel. This panel carries a text on a scroll falling each side of a Latin cross with a gilded outline, under a gilded crown. There are sacred monograms in the top corners of the panel. Above this panel, and so visible when the doors are closed, is a black-painted Greek cross with a gilded outline, with an imprecation written in the angle of the apex. The WW1 names are inscribed on the panels of the four doors. The inscriptions are painted and gilded. Suspended arches fall away from the bottom of the doors, and presumably there was a similar arch where the WW2 panel now sits.
