- Description
- Rectangular light grey alabaster tablet , the longer axis horizontal , a raised border round the edges , a flat pediment at the top . In the upper panel on the left a wreath within which is a plain cross coloured gold and then the inscription incised and coloured dark red. In the lower panel round the outer edge are four laurel swags each with a rose in the centre and within the lower panel the names incised and coloured dark red .

- TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND IN HONOUR OF THE MEN WHO IN THE YEAR 1914 AND THEREAFTER/ WENT OUT FROM THIS PARISH AND GAVE THEIR LIVES IN MANY WIDELY SUNDERED PARTS OF/ THE WORLD BY SEA AND LAND AND AIR. MAY GOD GRANT THAT WHATEVER BE THE PATH MANKIND/ IS DESTINED TO TRACE THERE MAY ALWAYS IN ALL COUNTRIES BE MEN WHO AT THE CALL/ OF THAT WHICH THEY HOLD TO BE THEIR DUTY WILL FACE WITH LIKE STEDFASTNESS(sic)/ (NAMES)
