Description
Cenotaph of classic design raised on a rectangular platform, three stone steps above the ground. Above the base of the Cenotaph, on the principle front and flanked by three-quarters projecting Grecian Ionic Pilasters, is a bronze panel in low relief with a bronze figure. Relief depicts semi-nude warrior lighting resting on his unsheathed sword with a cross behind him.Teak door placed at the base below the relief which is the entrance to the room of remembrance with a vaulted ceiling. Stone lectern placed within this room used to hold the book of remembrance. Behind the memorial is a curved stone wall with an inscription. Above the lectern hangs an ever burning lamp representing undying memory.
