History
1933: City Council added curved wall on which are a series of plaques recording the names of those from the city of Gloucester who are known to have died in war. Gates at back of memorial were originally positioned at front. 1980s: There was originally a small memorial garden behind the structure. This was incorporated into the main park for maintenance in the 1980s.
