Description
Stone reredos with many carved figures, grouped in themes. Central to the screen is a figure of Christ on cross. Figures include martyrs of the early church, renown archbishops, representatives of the national bible and prayer book and English christian worthies. Also included are representatives of science, arts, professions and occupations as well and administrators, soldiers, teachers. finally likenesses of figures from literature learning and leisure; Shakespeare, Milton, Bunyan, Scott, Butler
