Description
Four-stepped 14th century cross base surmounted by square base, tapering shaft and wheel Cross. The cross was restored as a war memorial in 1921. Due to the deterioration of the monuments stonework copper plates are now fitted over the original stone carved names and inscription, one plate with the dedication on it, two plates replicating the WW1 inscriptions and a fourth on which are the casualties for WW2. This was carried out at some point between 1991 and 2006. The whole cross is now a Scheduled Monument.
