- Chapel in the plan shape of a Greek cross with four equal arms. It is lit by four large stained glass windows. Names of the fallen cut into stone tablets under the windows of the north & south transepts. ALTAR AND REREDOS GIVEN BY A SINGLE DONOR AND THE STAINED GLASS WINDOWS WERE GIVEN BY ANOTHER. FIVE LANCET LIGHTS IN THE WEST WALL OF THE CLOISTER. North window : LAST SUPPER, PROCESSION TO CALVARY AND CELEBRATION OF THE HOLY COMMUNION. IMAGE OF THE DONOR'S SON WHO FELL AND OF HIS DAUGHTER WHO WAS A NURSE ARE IN ONE OF THE OUTER LIGHTS East window : Depiction of the Crucifixion. South window : ENTOMBMENT AND THE RESURRECTION DEPICTED. IN THE LOWER PART A RE TWO SCENES, ONE REPRESENTING THE BURIAL OF A SOLDIER AT THE FRONT AND THE OTHER THE VISION OF ST MARTIN West window : Illustrations of the idea of Peace and Hope. Lancets : THEY CONTAIN AN IMAGE OF THE SCHOOL'S FOUNDER, LAWRENCE SHERIFF; KING OSWALD; KING ALFRED; KING EDMUND; KING ARTHUR
