Left Light: TO THE GLORY OF GOD / AND IN THE MEMORY OF / ALL WHO SERVED IN / HMS ALDENHAM /JANUARY 1942 - DECEMBER 1944. Right Light: ATLANTIC 1942 / LIBYA 1942 / SICILY 1943 / AEGEAN 1943 Notice below: THIS WINDOW WAS PRESENTED BY THE ALDENHAM BRANCH OF THE ROYAL NAVAL ASSOCIATION ON THE FIFTIETH ANNIVERSARY OF THE SINKING OF HMS ALDENHAM AND SHOWS THE HUNT CLASS DESTROYER AND SOME OF HER CAMPAIGNS. DURING THE LAST OF THESE, WHILE ON BLOCKADE DUTY IN THE ADRIATIC IN 1944, SHE STRUCK AN ENEMY MINE AND SANK WITH THE LOSS OF 116 CREW.
