Description
Base surmounted by tapering plinth and Latin cross, in the centre of which is a crucifix with a bronze image of Christ. Inscription on 6 o'clock face in leaded lettering. Wall added behind the cross for WW2 names, with latte crosses above the dates, and on the terminal posts of extended curb stones at the sides.

On the Cross: INRI above the crucifix; below the crucifix: Pray/ for the/ Souls of/ (Names) / Sons of St Joseph's Anderton, who gave their lives/ at the call of duty in the Great War 1914 -18/ Compassionate Heart of Jesus have mercy on the Souls of/ the Faithful Departed and grant them Eternal Rest On the wall behind: 1939 (Names) 1945
