- Description
- Grey granite Latin cross with octagonal tapered shaft surmounting a stepped, corniced and tapered square base above a square plinth with carved columns at the corners, and set upon three square steps. The cross, from which hangs a carved laurel wreath, faces North, with the names, blacked and incised, facing towards the path to the church doors. The main dedication is on the West face, visible as you enter the churchyard. The WW2 dedication and names have been accommodated by inserting a tablet at an angle into a slot carved into the top two steps below the WW1 names. Vase holders made from the removed stone sit each side of the lower section of the tablet. The memorial sits within a square flower bed surrounded by a raised kerb.
