121 ACRES OF LAND FORMS THE PARK AREA. THERE ARE TENNIS COURTS, BOWLING GREENS AND TOILET FACILITIES AND BEECHES WERE PLANTED IN MEMORY OF INDIVIDUAL MEN. WROUGHT IRON GATES PLACED AT THE ENTRANCE TO THE PARK IN 1927. THE PILLARS SUPPORTING THEM WERE MADE OF STONE FROM THE OLD CITY WALL
