Description
SET WITHIN A FLIGHT OF STEPS IS A BROAD SLIGHTLY TAPERING COLUMN SURMOUNTED BY A FIGURE OF A SERVICEMAN. OVAL PLAQUES WITH WREATH AROUND THEM ARE ON THE LEFT AND RIGHT SIDES OF THE COLUMN WITH THE NAMES INSCRIBED ON THEM. MAIN DEDICATORY INSCRIPTION IS ON THE FRONT OF THE MEMORIAL. DATES FOR WW1 AND WW2 HAVE BEEN ADDED TO THE BASE WITH A WREATH IN BETWEEN THEM. BELOW THE DEDICATION IS A BRONZE PLAQUE WITH NAMES OF BATTLES THE REGIMENT HAD PLAYED A PART IN A SHELL STANDS AT EACH CORNER OF THE TOP OF THE COLUMN. REGIMENTAL CREST WITH A WREATH AROUND IT IS AT THE TOP OF THE FRONT FACE OF THE COLUMN
