ORIGINAL PLAQUES REPLACED BY NEW ONES BUT NOT IN THE CORRECT CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER OR PLACEMENT. THE ORIGINALS ARE KEPT IN CRAWLEY MUSEUM. THE ORIGINAL SEVEN ACRES OF THE LAND HAS BEEN ALTERED AND REDUCED DUE TO COMPULSORY PURCHASE ORDER IN 1953 FOR ROAD WORKS AND A CHANGE IN ADMINISTRATION IN 1973. IT IS NO LONGER AN AREA WHERE CHILDREN CAN PLAY BUT RATHER A THOROUGHFARE WITH DEVELOPMENTS STILL ENCROACHING ON THREE SIDES. (ACCORDING TO CORRESPONDANCE IN 1999)
