- Description
- A stone lion sitting on a rectangular stone pedestal. The dedication is written on the front and the lion's tail curls down the rear face. On the front face of the pedestal is a relief of a wreath with the words 'FOR VALOUR' and a cross within it. The WW1 names are inscribed around the bottom stones of each face and the WW2 names were added on the middle of the LH face. The original memorial was surrounded by chains hanging on substantial posts, but these were later removed and replaced by a low wrought iron-fence with lion-head shields in the centre.
