Description
The open space in front of the house has been turned into a brick surfaced courtyard. The entrance and two adjoining sides are roofed to give ample space for tables and benches, etc. The centre of the west wall has a fireplace with the board listing the names above. The wall by the road is half height. The entrance arch is surmounted by a square tower and cross with a dedication panel on the road side. This has a rose on the left and a crown on the right.

Comments: Lieutenant C. Saunders from Worcester College, Oxford, who came down and worked amoung the hoppers left money for them at his death in the war. The hoppers subscribed some £50 towards the costs.
