TO THE MEMORY OF / THE HONONABLE (sic) CHARLES BANKS STANHOPE, / SECOND SON OF CHARLES EARL STANHOPE, / WHOSE LIFE SPENT WITH HONOR, (sic) / IN THE SERVICE OF HIS COUNTRY / WAS TERMINATED AS HE HAD WISHED / ON THE FIELD OF VICTORY. / HE WAS BORN JUNE 3RD 1785, / AND DIED IN THE BATTLE OF CORUNNA/ JANUARY 16TH 1809.
