- Rectangular plaque with centrally placed Greek cross, fimbriated and fleuree. Copper crest of Kings Own Royal Lancaster Regiment above inscription. Blazons: Lefthand: - argent on a chevron azue between three squirrels sejant each holding a nut proper, as many acorns. Righthand: - per fesse gules and sable, three bezants two and one.

Who fell / in the service of his country / on Dec. 12th 1900/ at Vryheid/ South Africa. // Right side: - in loving memory of Lieut / Lionel Streatfeild Woodgate / of the King's Own Royal Lancaster Regiment / Born 11th June 1888. Who was / killed in action at La Ferte on / the Marne, France, on sept. 9th / 1914.
