Description
Elaborate wall monument composed of a marble tablet with a gothic overhanging canopy flanked by statues of St Michael to the right and St George to the left. The regimental crest is at the top of the tablet with the names in five columns in black lettering with red capitals.

TO THE/ GLORY OF GOD/ AND IN MEMORY/ OF THE FOLLOWING OFFICERS NCOS AND PRIVATES OF THE 1ST BATTALION THE BUFFS (EAST KENT REGIMENT)/ WHO WERE KILLED IN ACTION OR DIED OF WOUNDS AND DISEASE FROM 1895 TO 1898 DURING WHICH PERIOD/ THE BATTALION WAS ACTIVELY ENGAGED IN THE CHITTRAL AND PUNJAB FRONTIER CAMPAIGNS/ (NAMES)/ THIS MEMORIAL IS ERECTED BY THEIR COMRADES
