- Description
- A wooden lych gate with pitched slate roof to the sides, standing on a brick base. A biblical text is carved into the main cross beam facing the road, whilst the Dedication is carved into the corresponding beam facing the churchyard. Two sloping slate tablets set into the brick base between the main pillars, facing into the gateway, carry the names of the fallen.

- On the main crossbeam facing the road: I am the Resurrection and the Life On the main cross beam facing the churchyard: In Proud Memory of Maghull Parishioners/ Who Gave their Lives 1939-1945 On the left-hand tablet (from the road): They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old/(NAMES) On the right-hand tablet:/ At the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them/ (NAMES)
