- Description
- Rough-hewn grey granite wall with polished front in three sections. The central section is nowy arched and carries the dedication beneath the engraved arms of Knowsley Council at the top, and a white Calvary cross below. The badges of four veteran associations are engraved at the corners - the Royal British Legion, the Royal Navy Association, the Royal Air Force Association, and the Royal and Ancient Order of Buffaloes. The WW1 and WW2 names are inscribed on the left-hand panel, with the names of post-WW2 deaths inscribed on the right-hand panel. The inscription is incised and blacked. The memorial sits on a polished granite base at the front of a small, walled, raised lawn with protective stainless steel rails to the sides and rear, with a flagpole to the right.
