Description
Two step square base with curved front and rectangular base with a plinth bearing bronze inscription. Above the base is a tall obelisk with bronze panels on three sides and a carving of a winged 'Victory' holding a sword and laurel wreath. Cast laurel leaves surround the top of memorial.

History
1991: stone badly disfigured with graffiti. A general renovation of "The Slopes" area was planned by the High Peak Council, which would include the war memorial.
