Description
Memorial comprises a stepped-edge incised marble tablet attached to a wall mounted, landscape orientated streaked marble backboard. Three raised coloured insignia motifs are placed across top of tablet. Inscription text infilled with black paint.

RFC / PER ARDUA AD ASTRA / In Ever Loving Memory / of / CAPTAIN LEONARD ALFRED HARDWICK-TERRY / ROYAL ENGINEERS AND ROYAL FLYING CORPS ( FLIGHT COMMANDER ) / BELOVED AND ONLY SON OF OF EDWARD AND EDITH HARDWICK-TERRY / KILLED ON AUGUST 31ST 1917 NEAR AMIENS / IN THE SERVICE OF HIS COUNTRY / BURIED ON SEPTEMBER 1ST AT AVELUY FRANCE / AGED 21 YEARS / " THESE ARE THEY WHO FOLLOW THE LAMB WHITHERSOEVER HE GOETH " / " AND IN THEIR MOUTH WAS FOUND NO GUILE " / REVELATION XIV CHAPTR.
