- (WW1 Plaque) THIS TABLET WAS ERECTED IN 1920 / BY the BRIAN DONKIN COMPANY LIMITED, CHESTERFIELD / IN GRATEFUL RECOGNITION OF THE / SERVICES OF THE 277 MEN / OF WHOM 35 WERE KILLED, 28 WOUNDED AND 6 TAKEN PRISONERS OF WAR, / WHO LEFT THESE WORKS TO SERVE / WITH H.M. FORCES IN THE/ GREAT WORLD WAR OF 1914-1919. / ALSO TO PERPETUATE THE MEMORY / OF THOSE RECORDED BELOW / WHO FELL IN ACTION IN DEFENCE OF / KING & COUNTRY / (Names) / THEIR NAME LIVETH FOR EVERMORE.
