- Believed to have been wall mounted inside the church which was at the northern end of North Road roughly in the area now occupied by Cavendish Close.
- Description
- An oblong cast iron plaque with a raised border and a small Latin cross at the head. The inscription was in raised capital Roman lettering with Roman dots between each word and was justified at both edges.

- Original plaque: (Wording presumed similar to replacements) First replacement plaque: IN MEMORY OF THOSE WHO GAVE / THEIR LIVES, AND IN HONOUR OF / THE MEN FROM HOLMEWOOD / AND HIGHFIELDS WHO SERVED, / IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-1919. Second replacement plaque: IN MEMORY OF THOSE WHO GAVE / THEIR LIVES, AND IN HONOUR OF / THE MEN FROM HOLMEWOOD / AND HIGHFIELDS, WHO SERVED, / IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-1919.

- c2004: Stone bearing replacement plaque moved to western boundary during installation of a new memorial in the refurbished garden. 1991 - 1997: Plaque may have been stolen and replaced by one of a similar design. 1991: Original plaque photographed on the stone. 2 October 1983: Remembrance Gardens formally opened on site of former Jubilee Gardens. c1983: First replacement plaque mounted on stone near the centre of the former Jubilee Gardens to the south of the church. c1961: Original plaque removed from former St Albans Mission Church during demolition and believed to have been scrapped.
