- History
- 15 July 2021: IWM kindly informed by the John Smedley Archive Charitable Trust that the Directors of John Smedley Ltd arranged for the renovation of this memorial during the First World War Centenary. (The memorial is now fully legible and in good condition). 26 August 2010: The incised inscription on the tablet is shallow and difficult to read, and it has been defaced by graffiti. (The memorial lies within the Dethick, Lea and Holloway Conservation Area).
