Description
A white marble tablet on a black slate backboard. The tablet is in the style of an unfurled scroll and has a carved badge of the Royal Engineers superimposed at the head. The incised inscription is in capital, mainly upright, block lettering coloured black. The plain oblong backboard has the maker's name incised at the bottom left in upright gilded capital block lettering.
