- History
- In 1949/1950, the paintings were restored. The work that was done to them is unknown. In 1961, reinforced glass was placed in front of the memorial to protect it when the hall was converted into a gymnasium. In 2007, the paintings show flaking surface, though the image and text are legible, and by July 2009, parts of the paintings were cracked with the paint continuing flaking off. Also in 2009, report received that the Council are considering refurbishment or demolition of building.
