- Description
- Short, six-sided sandstone obelisk with a fluted border above the inscription panels, on a three-step base. The three faces bearing the WW1 incised inscriptions are concave and there is a laurel wreath above the fluted border over each section. There is a dedication on one face, and the names are on the other two faces. Between the inscribed faces are three narrower flat faces, each bearing a Sword of Sacrifice carved in relief. The WW2 dedication and names appear incised on a separate pink sandstone tablet set at an angle into the two upper steps, with square stone vases at each side, one of which carries the name of one of the WW2 dead.
