THREE-STEPPED OCTAGONAL BASE SURMOUNTED BY PLINTH TAPERING SHAFT AND CALVARY CROSS. IT IS GUARDED AT THE FOOT BY AN INFANTRYMAN. INSCRIPTION ON THE SIDES OF THE PLINTH INFANTRYMAN STANDS IN MOURNING POSE WITH RIFLE REVERSED
