Description
ORNATE MARBLE TABLET WITH INSCRIPTION IN THE CENTRE AND FLANKED BY FOUR FIGURES AT EITHER SIDE. UPPER PART CONTAINS STYLISED RELIEFS TOPPED BY TRACERY. THERE IS A MATCHING SHELF BELOW THE TABLET. FIGURES ARE OF ST GEORGE AND SAINT ANDREW ON THE LEFT AND ST PATRICK AND ST DAVID ON THE RIGHT. LAUREL WREATH SURROUNDS A CROWN IN THE UPPER PART AND UPPER BORDER HAS RELIEFS FOLIATE RELIEFS AND THE ARMS OF ST GEORGE AND ST ANDREW

Decided not to include names of wounded. Decision to erect a brass plaque to be fixed on the large pillar in the middle of the Church, which is contrary to the actual memorial.
