Description
TWO STEPS LEAD UP TO A BROAD LANDING ON WHICH ARE SET TWO FURTHER STEPS. THIS IS SURMOUNTED BY A CENTRAL YORK STONE OBELISK WITH GRANITE PLAQUE ON IT FRONT FACE HAS A CARVED WREATH AT MID-HEIGHT. OBELISK IS TOPPED BY A STONE WITH A CARVED CROSS IN RELIEF ON ITS FOUR FACES. There are 11 two column and 1 single column granite tablets for the WW1 names, also 2 two column and 1 single column tablets for the WW2 names. At the foot of the obelisk there is a general dedication stone, and also a Holocaust Memorial stone of remembrance
