Description

Rectangular stone of remembrance flanked by two columns, each with an Auxiliary Fire Service badge carved in relief at the top. Stone flower vase with a carved cross at each side. Names are carved in four columns on the central stone.

IN FREEDOM'S CAUSE/ SACRED TO THE MEMORY OF/ TWENTY ONE GALLANT MEMBERS OF/ THE BECKENHAM AUXILIARY FIRE SERVICE/ KILLED BY ENEMY ACTION WHILST ON DUTY 19-20 APRIL 1941/ (Names)/ "AT THE GOING DOWN OF THE SUN/ AND IN THE MORNING/ WE WILL REMEMBER THEM"
