PORTLAND STONE PLINTH SURMOUNTED BY BRONZE CAST SOLDIER IN GREAT COAT, ARM STRETCHED UPWARDS WITH HAT IN HAND. EACH SIDE OF THE PLINTH, EXCEPT FRONT, HAS A BRONZE PLAQUE IN RELIEF OF SERVICEMEN FROM ALL THE SERVICES RELIEF DEPICT:- WEST FACE - 3 WW1 AIRMEN NORTH FACE - 2 WW1 NURSES EAST FACE - 2 NAVAL OFFICERS

2012, Nov: repaired, cleaned and the new plaque installed. 2011, Oct: plaque depicting two Naval Officers and a Rating was stolen. London Borough of Richmond commissioned Leander Architectural to manufacture a replacement bronze plaque from photographs.
