- Description
- Rectangular headed plaque with a King's Crown top centre and a floral border. The First World War names are in raised lettering in three columns above the Second World War names which are also in raised lettering in three columns. The plaque is mounted on the back wall of the garden's classical Temple of Arethusa, which was designed by Sir William Chambers for Princess Augusta and built in 1758. Arethusa was a mythical Greek nymph who was turned into a spring of water.
