- Obelisk on a square pedestal rising from an octagon of three tiers standing in the centre of a circular paved space. Two stone piers at High St entrance. (Our ref. 12278) Borough arms at base.

- In August 2014 the memorial suffered from heavy vandalism. It is believed that after the attack a number of Police Officers cleaned the memorial as much as possible, and the vandalism is no longer visible. It is not known whether it suffered from any structural damage.
