- Description
- Square tapered pillar, topped by a moline cross, with wreaths below the cross. Set on a square plinth on a five stepped base. Mid-way up the pillar, on two opposing side are carved wreaths in relief. The plinth is topped with a scrolled cornice on two sides and on the same sides are panels, one with the inscription, the other with a bas relief carving of the angel of peace. In the centre of the scrolling is a lions head in a laurel wreath and on the other side a relief carved escutcheon. Pediment above angel relief with cartouche in centre bearing cross of St George.
