IN MEMORY OF BRIGADIER GENERAL THE RIGHT HON. ROBERT WHITE CB CMG DSO WHO DIED 19 NOVEMBER 1936 AGED 75 YEARS. CAPTAIN ROYAL WELCH FUSILIERS AND LIEUTENANT ROYAL BUCKS HUSSARS. HE SERVED IN THE NILE EXPEDITION 1884/5. SERVED IN THE BOER WAR 1900. ON THE OUTBREAK OF THE GREAT WAR HE RAISED AND COMMANDED THE 10TH BATTALION ROYAL FUSILIERS - THE STOCK EXCHANGE BATTALION. HE LATER COMMANDED THE 184TH INFANTRY BRIGADE. A MEMORIAL TO THE 10TH BATTALION ROYAL FUSILIERS HANGS IN THIS CHURCH.
