Description
Obelisk on tapering shaft flanked by two stone walls bearing names plaques. Whole stands on five stepped base in shallow paved area. Dedicatory inscription incised on sunken panel on the front of the plinth. Laurel wreath raised in bas relief at top front of the obelisk.

History
2008: Memorial was cleaned by power-washing in August. In September, work was begun on levelling the paving, improving drainage and repairing cabling under the memorial so that it could be illuminated again. Work is to take seven weeks. C 1992: WHOLE AREA WAS RENOVATED
