CENTRAL BRONZE FIGURE STANDS AT ENTRANCE TO TRENCH. BEHIND HIM ARE BRONZE PANELS FORMING A CROSS SHOWING A RUINED CATHEDRAL, AN AIRMAN AND A PLANE, AND A SAILOR AND A SHIP. THE ARMS OF THE REGIMENT ARE AT THE TOP OF THE CROSS AND ARMS OF THE COUNTY, INSIDE A WREATH, BELOW THE SOLDIER.
