Three stepped base surmounted by octagonal pedestal and tapering shaft made of granite. Inscription in bronze lettering. Bronze sword of sacrifice at the top of the obelisk.

1989: SOME OF THE BRONZE LETTERING IS MISSING AT THE ORIGINAL SITE THERE WAS A WALL WITH WOODEN SEATS BUILT BEHIND IT TO SHIELD THE EAST SIDE OF IT AND TO CATCH THE AFTERNOON SUN.
