Description
A two light stained glass window. Left light has the RAF badge at the head and depicts an airman in flying clothes with an aircraft behind him. Right light depicts a winged saint in red and gold robes, carrying a lance and wearing a winged helmet. Inscriptions are in upright capital lettering in panels at the foot of each light.

Left light: JOHN STAFFORD BOOLS 1941/ CHARLES RONALD KERNICK BOOLS 1942/ MARTIN BOOLS 1943/ GEOFFREY MAURICE BOOLS 1945 Right light: TO THE GLORY OF GOD/ AND IN LOVING MEMORY OF/ FOUR BROTHERS/ KILLED IN THE SECOND GREAT WAR Interpretation board: BOOLS MEMORIAL WINDOW/ This West Country family memorial commemorates the deaths of four brothers/ in operational or test flights during the Second World War./ Sergeant John Bools No. 77 Squadron 18 April 1941/ Warrant Officer Charles Bools No. 105 Squadron 9 October 1942/ Sergeant Martin Bools No. 115 Squadron 22 November 1943/ Warrant Officer Geoffrey Bools No. 308 Maintenance Unit 1 May 1945/ The window was designed and made in 1946 by A W Robinson RWA FMGP, and formed part of the/ glazing of the David Thomas United Reform Church in Bristol. It was removed from the church in/ 1983 when the building was declared redundant./ It was presented to the RAF Museum by Mrs Elizabeth Woods, the sister of the brothers.
