RECTANGULAR BRASS PLAQUE MOUNTED ONTO A BLACK STONE BACKBOARD. INCISED INSCRIPTION IN BLACK LETTERING. INCISED AND COLOURED COAT OF ARMS DEPICTED AT THE TOP CENTRE OF THE PLAQUE. SCROLLING FOLIATE BORDER WITH FLEUR DE LYS AT EACH CRONER IS ECTHED ON THE PLAQUE.

FELIX DAVID MONTAGUE/ OF THE 2ND LINCOLN REGIMENT (10TH FOOT)/ WHO WAS BORN AT CREDITON/ APRIL 29TH 1894/ AND FELL GLORIOUSLY AT/ NEUVE CHAPELLE/ ON THE MORNING OF MARCH 10TH 1915./ "MY HEART IS TOWARD THOSE THAT OFFERED/ THEMSELVES WILLINGLY AMONG THE PEOPLE/ THAT JEOPARDED THEIR LIVES UNTO THE/ DEATH IN THE HIGH PLACES OF THE FIELD."
