The War and Conflict Subject Specialist Network will build capacity, connections and confidence in the cultural heritage sector to improve the public understanding of war and conflict. It will provide a forum for sharing good practice, knowledge and skills; and deliver national programmes - initially focusing on impending major Second World War anniversaries.
The SSN has been developed as part of the legacy of the First World War Centenary Partnership: a network of over 4,000 not-for-profit organisations led by IWM to mark the centenary of the conflict. The SSN will build on the networks, good practice and lessons learnt, and capitalise on the new ways of working together and public engagement developed throughout the centenary.
We will share more information about the War and Conflict SSN in January 2019.
