Discover the fascinating story of Tom Boardman, who was in the army during the Second World War and taken prisoner by the Japanese after the fall of Singapore in 1942. This talk is given by our volunteer Ray who knew Tom through his interest and research into prisoners of war in the Far East.

  • Volunteer David at IWM North
    IWM

David – IWM North architecture talk

    Every Wednesday 10am to 1pm

The IWM North building is hard to miss – the aluminium-clad building with jutting angles has become an iconic part of the Manchester skyline since it was built in 2002. Join David to discover the story behind the design and why the building might feel strange to you.

Find them all in the Main Exhibition Space.

Talks are subject to volunteer availability. Please check with a volunteer/staff member or the What’s On in branch.
