General Aviation Expo at IWM Duxford

Supported by the APPG

General Aviation Expo is proudly supported by the All-Party Parliamentary Group on General Aviation (APPG):

“We are delighted to support General Aviation Expo at Duxford now in its second year. It is designed to kick the season off and allow anyone interested in flying to come together and find out more. Aeroclubs, private pilots, small commercial and specialist groups will meet with trade at the historic airfield at Duxford to discuss what’s new in 2020, how to get into the air and how to make GA as accessible and safe as possible.

This year General Aviation Expo and the APPG are encouraging youth groups to attend and bring the next generation of aviators along with partners such as the Air league, Air Cadets and Air Scouts. We are also delighted that the British Air Display Association and Historic Aircraft Association AGMs will also be part of the weekend.Join us and help make the UK the best place in the world for GA.”

    British Air Display Association

The British Air Display Association was formed in April 2011 following a number of successful informal meetings by organisers, pilots and others associated with air displays. These meetings identified a need to have an organisation to encourage, promote and advance Safety and Standards in British air displays whilst encouraging open discussion on all aspects of staging an airshow, from the smallest, involving a couple of flying displays, to the largest with international following. Their mission is ‘to encourage, promote and advance Safety and Standards in British Air Displays’.

    Historic Aircraft Association

The Historic Aircraft Association (HAA) was founded in 1979 with the aim of furthering the safe flying of historic aircraft in the UK and, later on, supporting the restoration and preservation of these aircraft. The Association, which currently has over 200 active pilot and engineer members, has made a major contribution to General Aviation, ensuring that British flying heritage is kept alive by promoting the safe flying of valuable, historic and heritage aircraft.
