Learn about the Dickin Medal – awarded to the bravest animals who have served to help the war effort and create a medal for your animal hero.
From dogs and horses to bears and pigs, brave animals have accompanied men and women into combat throughout history. As modes of transport and communication, protectors and companions, they have fulfilled a variety of roles at war. Match up the role to the animal to learn more about the various ways animals have helped.
